About Us

Making Changes consists of a team of competent, committed and experienced employees. Allow us to introduce them to you on this page.

Jan Yii, as the lead tutor, has delivered the CPCAB courses in an FE environment in the past for some years and believes that our courses are a niche area and as such, students benefit from a specialist environment. Barb Smith has also taught on the CPCAB courses in an FE environment delivering the CPCAB courses.

Both tutors are practicing counsellors and counselling supervisors and have generic experience in many areas. Jan specialises in trauma work and Barb has run her own private practice for a number of years and has experience in many areas but particularly in bereavement, couples counselling and trauma work.

Our Facilities

At Making Changes, we believe in providing a safe and nurturing space in which confidentiality can be maintained and where learners can grow and reach their full potential.

Our centre is adapted to provide this nurturing environment and consists of a classroom, four counselling rooms/break-out rooms, a lending library, a large space which is multi-functional and can be used for larger groups and continued professional development workshops.

Our kitchen is fully stocked with free refreshments and our bathroom accommodates disabled users.

Our centre is on one level and has full disabled access. We are conveniently located just off the M53 and have train and bus routes close by. There is ample free parking with designated disabled parking spaces.
